Rent a Boat or Jet Skis

Lake LBJ is a constant-level lake, which translates into it always being ready for some fun on the water. Especially during the hot Texas summer, this is the perfect place to rent a boat, or even some jet skis, and get out on the water to make some memories. There are multiple marinas around the lake to choose from, offering a variety of options to rent for the day or the entire weekend. 

Go Fishing

It's no secret among anglers that Lake LBJ is one of the best places to fish in Texas Hill Country. The lake is known as home to white bass, crappie, largemouth bass, and catfish. Whether you take a boat out on the water for a day or fishing or cast from the banks all around the lake, you can't go wrong. The Save the World Brewery in Marble Falls

Just a short drive from Lake LBJ is Marble Falls, another lake community that is home to multiple breweries. Try The Save the World Brewing Co., founded by retired physicians with a unique backstory. The brewery offers tours as well as limited hours for tasting a flight of their locally brewed beers. True to their branding, they practice self-sustainability in their facility, run by solar power and gray water recycling, and they offer complementary electric vehicle charging for guests.

Longhorn Cavern State Park

Just a few miles from Lake LBJ is Longhorn Cavern State Park. Take a hike on one of the many trails in the state park, or embark on a guided tour of the vast caverns. It's hard to put these gorgeous geologic works of art into words; you just have to see them for yourself. 

Wakepoint

Located right on the water in Lake LBJ, Wakepoint is one of the best casual restaurants and hangouts in town. In addition to satisfying food available at the restaurant, Wakepoint features boat slips, a park and picnic area, a concert area to enjoy live music, and a store that offers everything from vacation necessities to souvenirs. The second story of Wakepoint's dock is called The Spot and is a fun waterfront bar that offers one of the best sunset views in Lake LBJ.
